We take your picture with our special camera which will create a 3 Dimensional image of your face.  Our computer will then convert that image to approximately 30,000 points.  We then have a laser that is focused into the crystal to each of those points.  The focal point of the laser is so hot, that it will recreate that point.  The process is repeated approximately 30,000 times till the image is recreated inside the crystal. If you email or post mail me a picture, we can recreate the picture, but it will only be two dimensional (flat inside the crystal).  The better your picture, the better the final product.
